In MLB history, there have been 23 perfect games and 18 four-homer efforts, but only five times has a pitcher fanned 20 batters in one game (while throwing no more than nine innings).
Presented is a group of full tickets from each of the five games in which the rare feat was achieved. Roger Clemens threw the first on April 29, 1986 against the Seattle Mariners and the second on September 18, 1996 against the Detroit Tigers. Clemens signed the latter ticket in bold 10/10 blue marker. The other three pitchers to achieve the feat were: Kerry Wood against the Astros on May 6, 1998; Randy Johnson on May 8, 2001; and Max Scherzer on May 11, 2016.
All five tickets are graded by PSA, with three coming in at a near-perfect MINT 9.
