ADDENDUM: Heading and description have been updated. The "16" stands for Sanders' uniform number not the Celtics' 16th NBA Championship in 1986. This pin was issued to Sanders during his playing days in the 1960's for one of the eight World Champion teams he was a part of in that decade.
Circa 1960's Boston Celtics 10K Gold World Championship pin given to longtime Celtic player Tom "Satch" Sanders. Sanders a forward played his entire career with the Celtics from 1960-61 through 1972-73. On the front of the pin (3/4" in diameter) is "16"--denoting Sanders' #16 uniform number--on the enamel Celtic green 3-leaf clover which is set atop a white enamel background displaying "BOSTON CELTICS WORLD CHAMPIONS" in gold. The back of the pin is stamped "10K" with some other letters we could not decipher. Pin weighs 6 grams.
