Outstanding Milwaukee Braves Team Jacket game worn by Hall of Fame 2nd baseman Red Schoendienst during his time with the Braves. Schoendienst came over to the Braves from the Giants in a June of 1957 trade and helped lead them to their first World Championship in Milwaukee with a .310 average 6 home runs 32 runs batted in and 56 runs scored in 93 games. He made the All-Star team and came in 3rd in voting for the National League Most Valuable Player Award. He remained with the Braves until 1960. Large "Braves" in script across the chest above a tomahawk. Wilson size 42 tag sewn in collar. Schoendienst's number "4" tag sewn inside of front tail near zipper. Jacket exhibits heavy game use especially on the elbows but retains excellent eye appeal. "jolly" written in small blue ink letters below the Wilson tag in the collar. Relief pitcher Dave Jolly's final year with Milwaukee was 1957 so it is possible that Schoendienst did not get this jacket until 1958. Awesome display item!
