This signed photo perfectly captures the charm of the great Babe Ruth always eager to please adoring young fans and give his time to kids. Babe looks a bit aged and even more out of shape than usual in this black and white shot dating it likely to the 1940's when his playing career was over. The exact dimensions are 4 3/4" by 6 7/8" with a 1/4" white border. Ruth has signed the photo "To the ____ From Babe Ruth" in a hard-pressed but now faded 5-6/10 black fountain pen. Pictured with Babe are three kids presumably siblings as the inscription seems to indicate. We can't make out the last name.
