Awesome group of 25 original George Burke signed postcards from the 1930's including 5 Hall of Famers. All of the players pictured are from the Pittsburgh Pirates. All have been signed in beautiful 8-9/10 overall dark blue ink. (Most in vintage steel tip pen) Signed postcards are: Russell Bauers Ralph Birkofer Cy Blanton Mace Brown Earl Browne Bill Brubaker Jewel Ens Hal Finney Waite Hoyt(HOF) Woody Jensen Doc Jorgensen Harry Lavagetto Red Lucas Tommy Padden Fred Schulte Gus Suhr Bill Swift Al Todd Pie Traynor(HOF) Arky Vaughan(HOF) Paul Waner(HOF) Lloyd Waner(HOF) Jim Weaver Johnny Welch and Floyd Young. Appears the photos were collected by a teammate or former teammate named "Bud" due to references contained on a few photos.(Bud Culloton? Bud Stewart?) Photos are crease free and display beautifully but all do have rounding and wear on the corners. Incredible crystal clear images and signatures.
Also included is an unsigned original George Burke postcard of an unidentified Brooklyn Dodger player.
