A pair of Casey Stengel autographs headline this interesting lot of ephemera that includes a 1936 dinner program from a Brooklyn event on the rubber chicken circuit where Casey was the guest of honor. Casey signed the 11-by-7-inch (opened) dinner program as did 13 or 14 other "notables" who wound up being not quite as notable as the guest of honor. The man who got the program signed by Casey would send the program to Stengel more than 20 years later. Casey in turn was returning it to the fan with a 1958-dated letter on official Yankees stationery including a bonus crisp Stengel signature now unencumbered by competing autographs for anyone at all. The menu is probably in Good condition with its principal discouraging word being the severe crease down the center and the superfluous signatures; the crease presumably came when Casey folded it in half to fit in the return envelope though it's also possible/likely that this malfeasance could have been undertaken by the fan. The Yankees letterhead document presents Ex but has a couple of miniscule tears at the crease points. The envelope that the Yankees letter came in Poor condition kind of hanging on for dear life but otherwise intact.
