Cap Anson retired from the game just before the turn of the century yet he remained a fixture in and about Chicago the venerated elder statesman so to speak. In 1916 he was presented with this season pass to Comiskey Park. Beautifully illustrated on a card measuring 2-1/2 x 3-7/8 the details provided season-long admission for Capt. A. C. Anson & Wife and its then underwritten Chas. A. Comiskey (most likely in the hand of Harry Grabiner - Comiskeys long-time infamous underling). The pass remains in its original tri-fold leather wallet thats gild-inscribed with Comiskeys simulated signature. Obviously unique this pass was granted to the foremost superstar of 19th Century baseball. The surface of the wallet demonstrates an appealing but not excessive degree of handling.
