Among golf's "Big Three" of Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and Gary Player, it was undoubtedly Palmer most responsible for growing the game commercially in the 1960s and '70s. Arnie's charisma, good looks, and down-to-earth persona made him a fan favorite whenever and wherever he teed off. Who else has a drink named after them with ingredients as American as ice tea and lemonade?

This striking 8x10-inch original photo of a handsome Arnie looking sharp as a tack in his polo and cardigan on the course was taken during the peak of his golfing prowess. Henry Yee of PSA/DNA has dated it from the 1970s, but the experts at RMY called it 1960s era. Either way, the lovely double-weight shot is one of the finer images from Palmer's prime, the wrinkles in his forehead and intricate details of his face coming through with pinpoint clarity. If this photo could be graded like a card, it would surely deserve a mint or better rating. Absolutely flawless. The verso is blank with just "Arnold Palmer Golf" notated in pencil. Encapsulated Type I by PSA/DNA.
