The legendary Dan Gurney won races in the Indy Car NASCAR Can-Am and Trans-Am Series. Gurney was the first driver to win races in Sports Cars (1958) Formula One (1962) NASCAR (1963) and Indy Car (1967). In 1967 after winning the 24 hours of Le Mans together with A.J. Foyt he spontaneously sprayed champagne while celebrating on the podium launching a tradition that persists; at the 1968 German Grand Prix he became the first driver ever to use a full face helmet in Grand Prix racing.

With that sparkling resume comes this imposing race-worn firesuit with Simpson tagging at the collar and red yellow and blue highlighted striping down the front to the waist against the off-white suit body. "Dan Gurney" is embroidered in blue about the left breast; "Goodyear" with the company logo is sewn to the back in blue tackle twill with gold embroidery highlights. On the right side of the suit beneath his embroidered name are patches from Castrol Hot Wheels and Mattel; on the opposite side and embroidered Eagle "G" Goodyear and Olsonsite Eagle plus a Simpson patch on the left shoulder. All elements of the suit are intact with working zipper along with visible use.

Comes with Letters of Authenticity from All-American Racers and the Newport Sports Museum.
