Charles O'Bannon wore this wonderful UCLA home shirt during his 1994-97 tenure at the basketball powerhouse school where he was a star small forward/shooting guard and a starter on the school's 1995 NCAA Championship team. O'Bannon was a first team All-Pacific-10 Conference selection in 1996 and 1997 and he was also voted co-Most Valuable Player of the Bruins in both of those years. He is the younger brother of former NBA forward Ed O'Bannon who played with him at UCLA and is the lead plaintiff in the huge antitrust class action lawsuit against the NCAA. Charles was selected by the Detroit Pistons with the third pick in the second round of the 1997 NBA Draft. He played for the Pistons for two seasons before being released and ultimately continued his professional basketball career by playing in various leagues outside of the United States in Italy Poland and Japan.
The shirt is the classic UCLA home white with "UCLA" and his No. 13 affixed in blue tackle twill on the front and his name "C. O'Bannon" and a much larger No. 13 on the back in the same fashion. A Reebok tag appears on the front of the left tail along with a small flag Size 50 tag with handwritten 7" L-B." Shirt has the recognizable blue and gold knitted elastic collar arm hole; shirt shows light to moderate game use and is otherwise largely as-issued and problem-free.
