Ronnie Lott started his Hall of Fame career as an All-Pro cornerback with the San Francisco 49ers in 1981 and eventually transitioned into perhaps the best safety in NFL history. Here is his autographed and game-worn 49ers road white jersey dating to the mid-late 1980's. Size 44 Russell white mesh jersey with a V-neck and screen-printed numbers has Lott's #42 in red on front back and both sleeves in red. "LOTT" is on the back over a white nameplate. The sleeves have three red stripes. The Russell Athletic tagging is at the front left shirttail with laundry instructions and the message "WORN BY AMERICA'S TOP TEAMS." Wear is evident from team repairs on right shoulder and at the point of the V-neck. There is also a slight tear in the back above the 'L' and some spotting and paint transfers on the back as well. Lott has signed the back '2' in 6-7/10 black pen with a "42 49ers" inscription. It comes essentially as-issued and problem-free.

Getty images from games in 1985 and 1989 show Lott wearing a similar style white jersey with the pleated line on the front located above the bottom of the V-neck. Based on the more vintage quality and cream-colored fading of the mesh fabric the jersey is most likely from 1985. Just an awesome game-used piece of memorabilia from one of football's greatest defensive players during an era of 49ers dominance.
