Circa 1979 Thurman Munson Hillerich & Bradsby Louisville Slugger Thurman Munson Signature Model S44 game used bat. Evidence of pine tar present on handle. "38" in black marker on knob. Bat displays excellent game usage with Ball cleat and bat rack marks on barrel. Bat has a clean 10" crack along the handle that should be an easy repair if so desired. Number 38 was worn by fellow catcher Jerry Narron in 1979. Bat is 34 1/2" long and weighs 31.3 ounces. Bat was given to the consignor by the New York Yankee bat boy sometime in June or July 1979 at a game in Yankee Stadium after Munson cracked it during an at bat.
