This amazing Type 1 COLOR photo of Nolan Ryan captures the Hall of Famer just before he unleashes one of his feared fastballs. While Type 1 color photos of Ryan with the Astros or Rangers are common in the hobby, one depicting him with the Angels are rare – and of those this must rank as one of the best. Taken by noted sports photographer Darryl Norenberg, Nolan Ryan’s game face is on full display, with the blurred background of Angel Stadium adding to the fast-paced movement one feels when viewing this image. This is a beautiful doubleweight fiber-base Color Kodachrome photograph, extremely high-quality for the period. Measuring 9 5/8” x 7 5/8”, the image has been printed to its edge and the reverse is blank. Encapsulated Type 1 by PSA/DNA.
