By the time this portrait was taken in 1955, Walt Disney had gone from unknown World War I ambulance driver and amateur illustrator to the king and creator of the largest entertainment empire on earth. The number of children and adults who have received joy and laughter from his films and amusement parks is uncalculatable. This wonderful studio portrait displays the happiness and delight Walt Disney brought to everything he created. The Type 1 photo has all four borders. The reverse of the photo has “Walt Disney” and other hand written notations, the original caption slug, and a “JAN 17 1955” date stamp. Encapsulated Type 1 by PSA/DNA.
