Joe DiMaggio's 56-game hit streak is one record most experts argue will never be broken. The centerfielder and fan favorite helped the Yankees win nine World Series in his 16-year career. Offered here is a single signed ONL (Giles) baseball featuring the Yankee Clipper's early autograph on a side panel in 7-8/10 blue ballpoint. Vintage DiMaggio single-signed examples are a rather scarce commodity. The VG-EX ball exhibits significant soiling, leaving the possibility that it was game used. The manufacturer's stamping dates it to the late 1950's or early 60's after Joe's playing career had come to its glorious end. Full LOA from Beckett (A07748). Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
