Ed Fleming was a small forward who played five seasons in the NBA from 1955 to 1960. Standing 6’ 3” tall he tallied 2511 points and 544 assists through 292 games. Though he was drafted in the third round of the ’55 NBA Draft by Rochester and played two seasons for the Royals he closed out his career by playing for the Minneapolis Lakers. This lot features Fleming’s late ‘50’s game worn Lakers full road uniform he donned for three seasons which is an exceedingly rare sports artifact to find these days.

The offered blue jersey is made of a thick and durable fabric and has “LAKERS” emblazoned across the front in white tackle twill lettering. Fleming’s uniform number “70” appears directly below the team namein similar fashion and is surrounded by four white stars also made of tackle twill. Proper “Wilson” manufacturer’s tagging appears on the left front tail of the jersey including separate “LONG” and [size] “40” tags while additional tagging is present on the right front tail that reads: “Corrie’s The Sportsman’s Paradise Minneapolis Minnesota.” The back of the jersey reveals Fleming’s uniform number “70” in larger white tackle twill. The accompanying blue button-up shorts are trimmed in white and feature single white tackle twill stars on either thigh. Fleming’s number “70” appears in white tackle twill on the right thigh. A blue fabric belt is built into the white waistline and fastens with a silver metallic belt buckle giving the trunks a vintage hardcourt look. The “Wilson” manufacturer’s label appears on the inside front waistband. As suggested by its perfect MEARS A10 rating the uniform shows excellent wear with no alterations of any kind and remains in exceptionalall-original condition.

Letter from MEARS (A10).
