This is one of the great instantly recognizable memorabilia items celebrating the storied career of Joe Louis. The 12 1/2-inch high metal figural clock (4 1/2-by-9-inch base) presents a detailed rendering of the Brown Bomber in a bronze gilt finish. The legendary champion in his regal boxing pose rests atop an intricate and ornate laurel wreathe configuration that has the 4-inch clock dial in the center (boxing gloves on each side) and a banner below reading "Joe Louis World Champion." Made in 1938 the clock appears to be in working order with the original power cord still intact. Overall in EX-MT/NM condition with minimal signs of aging present.
