For the first time since Lou Gehrig joined the team in 1920, the New York Yankees were playing without the services of Babe Ruth. This 7" x 9" original PSA/DNA Type 1 photo captures the new Yankees team, led by Lou Gehrig on the left, with Lazzeri, Crosetti, Rolfe, and Heffner. The team finished that season with a record of  89-60, good for second place in the American League. Snapped by Acme Newspictures and stamped as such on the reverse, the photo experiences the usual moderate cracking and surface wear but presents extremely well. LOA from PSA/DNA.
