During the decade of the 1930’s the Boston Red Sox compiled an overall regular-season record of 705-815. Their manager in 1934 was former Hall of Fame second baseman Bucky Harris who spent 12 seasons in the majors as a player nine of which were with the Washington Senators where he served as player-manager for their two World Champion squads in 1924 and '28.

This lot features a Boston red Sox game worn jacket with possible attribution to Bucky Harris. The largely wool and leather black and red jacket boasts a large embroidered black “B” with red trim on the left chest. Sporting two large black pockets trimmed in gray leather on the front the jacket is trimmed at the collar waistband and wrists in red. Gray leather runs the length of the front of the jacket and six original brown buttons remain intact. The number “27” appears on the rear inside collar below a sewn in "m" that typically is supposed to stand for "Manager." The jacket matches the style used by the Sox during the early to mid 1930's. Six Red Sox players wore #27 in the 1930's including Bing Miller in 36.
