Presented is an absolutely glowing treasure of Americana, a baseball signed by the greatest American sportsman of all-time, Babe Ruth. This beautifully preserved, Reach-manufactured Official American League (Barnard) baseball is autographed in 7/10 black ink by the “Sultan of Swat” himself. The Babe’s sweet spot signature features quotes around “Babe” indicating he signed it during the prime of his career. A faded signature on the north panel that reads “Lou Pearl, Babe’s 2nd” is only faintly legible and has no detrimental effect on the dazzling singular display of Ruth’s autograph. The baseball, complete with its red and blue stitches, is in remarkable condition given the fact that Ruth signed the ball circa 1928, the year after he launched 60 home runs for the Bronx Bombers. In the categories of eye appeal and overall condition, few Ruth signed baseballs can match this exemplary specimen.
