If nothing else disproves the myth that Honus Wagner was an anti-tobacco crusader then at least there's the proof of Wagner's very own licensed brand of cigars. This "Hans Wagner Cigar" band is one of the most highly prized specimens in the entire field of tobacco bands. Because the band has never actually been used before this is likely a printer's proof originating from a sample album. A small "HANS WAGNER" heading is handsomely embossed over a spectacular bust-length illustrated miniature portrait. This is the same image used on the more well know Honus Hanger cigar box labels. Beautiful band is in striking NM or better looking condition on the front with a small 3/8" by 5 /16" piece of clear tape applied to the back. On the tape someone has written "935-B".
