The was baseballs are manufactured has come a long way since the early part of the last century. The offered C. 1910 Baseball Stitching machine is actually just an over sized clamp that held baseballs in place so workers could hand stitch them with precision care. The baseball is held at the top between two leather covered wooden sides, pulled together by a metal coil. Pressing down on the wooden handle opens and closes the top for baseball insertion and removal. There is no manufacturer indicated. Measures 31 1/2". Along one side is printed "PROPERTY OF LANNON MFG. CO. TULLAHOMA TEX" on one side and "M29" on the other. Seldom seen piece of early baseball manufacturing equipment. Stands 31" tall.

Includes a Letter of Provenance from The Newport Sports Museum.
