Nice pair of interesting early baseballs from before the turn of the century. Both are in nice condition for their age and display well.
1) Early two piece figure eight stitch baseball resembles the one in use today. Smaller in size ball measures about 2 1/2" in diameter and is about 8" in circumference. It has darkened and hardened over the years and displays several areas of wear to the cover.
2) Early circa 1870's lemon peel baseball with four piece construction. Lemon peel style baseball remains fully intact with all original stitching. Ball measures about 2 3/4" in diameter and is about 9" in circumference. It has light surface wear and has darkened and hardened over the years.
Payment for your invoice must clear in full prior to shipping. All items will be shipped from SCP Auctions’ Laguna Niguel, CA office in the order that payments are received. Please allow up to three business days following clearance of payment for items to ship. All items will be shipped UPS/FedEx Ground unless you contact us to discuss an alternative shipping method.
