Pair of items relating to the late 1940's swimming extravaganza called Buster Crabbe's Aqua Parade organized by the Hollywood B Movie star and 1932 Olympics 400-meter freestyle gold medalist. Over a 5 year period they toured in both the United States and Europe. They are:
1) Large 18" by 25" 18 page folio of original art work for promoting his 1948 Aqua Parade production. Beautiful large full color art work featuring swimmers and divers listing performers telling about events etc. The whole advertising presentation. Overall very nice condition but along the bottom edge there are ares of water staining that run from 1" to 2" up into the picture images. Still a very interesting item!
2) August 6 1949 Arcadia Chamber of Commerce 12 1/2" by 8 1/2" plank presented to Crabbe for the outstanding entertainment provided by his Aqua Parade.
