After eight years in the American League Bret Saberhagen got his first chance to swing the bat in the major leagues in 1992 after the Royals sent him to the Big Apple in a bockbuster trade with the Mets. Impatient after that lengthy wait he wasted no time singling off Mark Gardner of the Expos. The ball is an Official National League Bill White ball showing good game use and some wear surrounding the imprinted elements. Saberhagen signed in blue ballpoint on the sweet spot and added inscriptions on one panel: "First M.L. Hit vs. Mark Gardner (Expos) 4-18-92." Comes with an LOA from Bret Saberhagen.
