This is a 9-by-10-inch plaque that notes Bret Saberhagen's selection as the United Press International American League Comeback Player of the Year for 1987 as recorded in the engravings on the gold metal portion of the plaque that is mounted on a wood base. Saberhagen added an autograph in 9-10/10 black Sharpie on the back of the plaque. The award is in essentially as-issued and problem-free condition save only for a few tiny scuffs on the extreme edge of the wooden portion on the front that don't interfere with the overall presentation.
