15" by 16-1/2" piece of original newspaper artwork by renowned Boston Globe artist Phil Bissell, creator of the New England Patriots logo (Pat the Patriot).

Artwork produced before the first game of the 1963-64 season features a tearful Red Auerbach thinking about Bob Cousy who had retired at the end of the previous season. Red didn't do much weeping during the season though, the Celtics finished 59-21 and captured another NBA championship. EXMT+.

Includes letter of provenance from the Red Auerbach estate.
