New York Giant Bobby Thomson's iconic home run to beat the Brooklyn Dodgers on October 3, 1951, "The Shot Heard 'Round the World", resulted in broadcaster Russ Hodges' emotional "THE GIANTS WIN THE PENNANT! THE GIANTS WIN THE PENNANT!"... a call that has echoed through the decades for baseball fans and still causes goosebumps for those who hear it. Here we have a signed ball from the hero Thomson (deceased 2010), inscribed with "The Shot Heard Round the World" and Oct 3, 1951 in black pen on the Sweet Spot of a Rawlings Official League ball (Selig), paired with a PSA encapsulated cut of the voice of the moment, Russ Hodges (deceased 1971).
