Current Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles made his true professional debut at the 2014 NLFPA Rookie Premiere event at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum when he posed for industry trading card photos. This lot courtesy of Bortles and his agency Rep 1 Sports features an event-worn jersey he donned that day. The combination nylon and spandex black Nike jersey (size 3XL) includes NFLPA across the front in white ironed-on letters just above Bortles uniform number 5 which is also ironed on in white outlined in red. His last name BORTLES stretches across the back of the shoulders in white right above his uniform number. The NFLPA logo and letters appears on both sleeves as does his uniform number. Bortles has signed the back of the jersey in black marker across the No. 5 and added "#5" after his autograph.
In addition this lot features a pair of game-worn pieces of equipment that Bortles donned during a cold road game against the Baltimore Ravens on Dec 14 2014. Bortles passed for 201 yards that day in a losing effort 20-12. The first item is an official Jacksonville Jaguars beanie that he wore on the sidelines when he was taking a breather in between series. He has signed the black beanie in white in between the embroidered NFL logo and New Era patches. Lastly this lot includes an actual game-worn Jaguars-branded hand warmer that Bortles utilized throughout the Dec. 14 2014 game in Baltimore. Bortles has signed on outside in white marker. The third player taken in the 2014 draft Bortles endured a challenging rookie season as he started 13 games and threw for 2908 yards with 11 TD's and 17 picks. His sophomore season in 2015 was a huge step up as amassed 4428 yards and 35 TD's to become one of the league's rising young stars and what looks to be a franchise QB for the Jags for years to come.
