This is an important artifact from a key figure of the great Dodgers ball clubs in the 1970's the last game-worn helmet from Bill Russell the Dodgers' shortstop from 1974-83 in an 18-year 2181-game career with the Dodgers that saw the team nail down four National League pennants and one World Series Championship. Russell anchored an infield (Ron Cey Russell Davey Lopes and Steve Garvey) that elbowed it way into the record books for being the longest intact unit in baseball history with eight and a half seasons together. This Dodger blue helmet shows good game use but is otherwise as-issued and problem-free It has American Baseball Cap labeling on the interior (Size 7 1/8) and Russell's No. 18 in white on the front of the brim. Russell has added a silver Sharpie 8/10 autograph on the left side along with his inscription "My Last Used Game Helmet."

Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from Bill Russell.
