In 1953, Bill Antonello served as an outfielder for the Brooklyn Dodgers, participating in 40 games throughout their National League championship season. He played in 40 games, achieving a batting average of .163 with one home run in 43 at-bats. Antonello, a native of Brooklyn, had served in the Navy during World War II prior to embarking on his baseball career with the Dodgers.
