One of the biggest contributors to the Yankee dynasty at the end of the millennium was centerfielder Bernie Williams. The switch-hitting superstar from Puerto Rico had a four-year stretch from 1997-2000 in which he was an All-Star and Gold Glove winner every season. In 2000, Bernie batted .307 and muscled up with career highs in homers (30) and RBI (121), helping guide the Yanks to a victory in the Subway Series over the Mets for their fourth championship in five years. Many believe he deserves a spot in Cooperstown with his four rings and .297 career average over 16 seasons in the Bronx.

This offered Bernie Williams Rawlings Adirondack Big Stick professional model black-coated bat with a cupped end (34.5", 32.5 oz.) shows heavy game use from the 2000 season. Ball contact, bat rack and cleat marks cover the barrel. There is a handle crack and a bit of pine tar running up the label. The knob is stamped "BW20 2000 A/S" which signifies that it was likely issued for the 2000 All-Star Game in which Williams started in center field. Game images from that Midsummer Classic played at Atlanta's Turner Field show Bernie holding a very similar looking bat. The red transfer marks on the barrel provide evidence that he used it in the All-Star game as well; he batted third in the lineup and went 0-for-3. Terrific gamer from a longtime fan favorite and career Yankee who is considered one of the best all-around players to ever don the famous pinstripes.
