The Baseball Hall of Fame began the practice of issuing rings to new inductees in the 1960s. This sample ring is what Babe Ruth's ring would have looked like had the practice been in place in 1936. The exact year of this rings production is unknown but probably dates to the time of the first production of Hall of Fame induction rings. Cast in 10K yellow gold around the top perimeter of this size 11 ring is Baseball Hall Of Fame in relief. On the top center is a black stone with gold baseball on top. On the right shank is a banner in relief that reads Outfielder below which in relief is a rendition of the Cooperstown building below which in relief is a banner that reds The National Baseball Hall of Fame. On the left shank in relief is a banner that reads Ruth below which is a baseball with crossed bats in relief below which is a banner in relief that reads Elected 1936. The inside of the ring is stamped 10K with hallmark. Ring size 10 3/4. Showing minimal wear the ring remains in EX-MT to NM condition.
