The autograph says "G.H. Ruth" but it's still The Babe signing here in the same elegant fashion that is so recognizable to generations of fans and using the more formal signature on his personal checks drawn from The Chemical Bank & Trust Company of New York. The check in question is probably in Very Good condition with a few creases that are only visible if you are looking for them and certainly not in the attractive matted and framed configuration here. A bronze sepia-toned 8 1/2-by-11-inch photograph of Ruth in his follow-through is matted above the check bringing the overall dimensions to an imposing 14 1/2-by-18 1/2 inches in an attractive brown wood frame. The piece as described is in essentially as-issued and problem-free condition.
