Offered here is an important ticket stub from USA track and field legend Jesse Owens' final event at the 1936 Berlin Olympics. The Men's 4x100 Meter relay took place on August 9th. The U.S. team of Jesse Owens, Ralph Metcalfe, Foy Draper and Frank Wykoff easily won gold and set the world record in 40 seconds flat.
This stub commemorates Owens' fourth gold medal of the historic games and has been awarded a PSA EX-MT 6. The colors and print clarity are favorable to other EX-MT copies. There are only four stubs in the PSA pop report graded higher.
A nice bonus to this lot is the actual ticket booklet that this stub came from. The booklet remains in NM shape or better. A rare combo that we've never auctioned before.
