Billy Martin, New York Yankees second baseman and later manager, made his Sports Illustrated debut in April of 1956. The young Martin is pictured with a look of determination in his eyes that shows the drive he had to help the Yanks to five World Series titles during his time as a player and manager.
CGC has deemed this copy of Martin’s debut issue a 9.4, making it the highest graded example in the magazine grader’s population report.
