Kobe's final game at Staples Center on April 13, 2016, culminated with a fitting speech from the Black Mamba after dropping 60 points against the Utah Jazz. His final words, "Mamba Out," followed by a classic mic drop signaled Kobe's exit from the game as a player and full-time entrance into the entertainment field.
Kobe went on to win an Academy Award for his animated short film, Dear Basketball, which was aired at Staples Center before his final time in a Lakers uniform. Kobe's life was going to be spent prioritizing his family life and working as a content creator for his production company Granity Studios. Just when we thought the best of Kobe's work off the court was yet to come, he was gone less than 4 years later. The old cliché is certainly true when discussing one of the most beloved basketball players ever: only the good die young.
Presented here is a full unused ticket from Kobe's final night of dominance on the basketball court. Mamba has autographed the front of the ticket with his full name in blue pen. PSA/DNA has authenticated the signature without a grade, and it appears 8/10 in overall eye appeal. The ticket itself is officially ungraded as well but appears VG with one bum corner on the bottom right. All other elements are problem-free. In the PSA Population Report, there are currently 540 unsigned and 44 signed full tickets from his final game, making this a rare collector’s item. As a bonus, this is one of the few known signed exemplars to have been signed through Kobe’s exclusive autograph and memorabilia dealer, Panini Authentic. A Panini hologram sticker is affixed to the back of the ticket with a matching COA card (cert. #PA35010).
