Ann Meyers was a basketball prodigy. As a 5' 9" standout living in La Habra California she was the first player selected to a U.S. national team while still in high school. She was also the first female player who ever earned a four-year athletic scholarship to UCLA and was a four-time Kodak All-American during her successful tenure at UCLA which included a national championship during her 1977-78 senior season.

This lot features Meyers' 1976 U.S. Women's Olympic Basketball game-worn jersey as well as a pair of practice jerseys she wore during the competition in Montreal which resulted in a silver medal for the U.S. women. The game-worn blue jersey which includes proper tagging on the inside rear collar is a sleeveless pullover with red and white outlining the collar and arm openings. The front of the jersey reads "USA" running vertically down the left side in red tackle tackle twill lettering outlined in white. Her uniform number "6" appears in similar fashion on the bottom right side of the jersey front. A much larger version of her uniform number appears on the reverse also in red tackle twill outlined in white.

The two tank-top practice jerseys one in faded blue and the other in faded red show plenty of wear and include "USA" and her uniform number "6" screened on in white on the reverse while the front of both jerseys merely boasts the screened on uniform number centered on the chest. The practice jerseys include small white pinstripes that run the length of both garments.

LOA from Ann Meyers Drysdale.
