Interesting 9" by 7" souvenir glass candy dish from the March 8, 1971 "Fight of the Century" World Heavyweight Championship match between Champion Joe Frazier and challenger Muhammad Ali, given to Angelo Dundee. Frazier retained his title with a 15 round unanimous decision which saw Ali knocked to the canvas for the first time and sent both men to the hospital after the fight. Image on the plate is an exact replica of the famous fight poster promoting the historic fight. Dish in very good shape with a little light fading toward the bottom edge of dish. Comes with the original white box in about VG-EX condition, no corner splits, just a few creases to lid.
