Allen Iverson was making the leap from the Georgetown University Hoyas to the NBA when he appeared on the cover of the August 1, 1996 issue of Basketball Times. Iverson is shown in his classic Georgetown grey college jersey, made famous by the powerhouse teams under Coach John Thompson, with the headline pronoucing A Glimpse of the Future.
The publication cover photo features Iverson's rookie-era signature boldly signed in blue Sharpie, with #3 and Sixers also inscribed. The photo is Beckett encapsulated.
