Alex Rodriguez has been one of the most prolific hitters in baseball history. A career .299 hitter Rodriguez ranks as the youngest major leaguer to eclipse both the 500th and 600th home run plateaus. This signed inscribed and game-used baseball came from the August 4 2007 major league game between the host Yankees and the visiting Kansas City Royals in which Rodriguez launched his 500th career home run. It was a three-run bomb in the first inning that put the Yankees ahead 3-0. He was just 32 years and eight days old and became the 22nd player in MLB history to reach the 500 home run mark.
