Paul Goldschmidt has quietly put together a tremendous career.  Drafted by Arizona, he debuted in the second half of the 2011 season before taking over as the team's starting first baseman the following spring. He made six straight NL All-Star teams from 2013 through '18, his last with the Diamondbacks. Showing incredible consistency, he averaged exactly 30 homers, 100 RBI and 100 runs while batting between .290 and .321 in each of those six seasons. This offered home D-Backs jersey was worn by "Goldy" in the final game of his rookie season. It ended up in the hands of a lucky fan post-game as part of the team's "Shirts Off Our D-Backs" promotion at Arizona's Chase Field.

The alternate button-up jersey in Sedona red has the "D-backs" crest across the chest with the team's "db" logo patch on the left sleeve. The right sleeve holds the 2011 All-Star Game patch celebrating the game hosted by the D-Backs earlier that season. Goldy's long NOB is arched across the upper back with his No. "44" below in black on beige tackle twill. He has signed the back numbers in 9/10 silver pen with "Game Used 9/28/11" inscribed. Proper Majestic manufacturer's tagging appears on the left front tail indicating a massive size "50" to fit the 6'3" 225-lb. slugger. The unwashed shirt exhibits obvious wear and multiple inspection stickers on the internal washing instructions indicate he wore this shirt in multiple games as a rookie.

Arizona lost to the Dodgers in the last game of 2011 by the score of 7-5. In the 9th, Goldschmidt scored on a grand slam and the image of him standing at home plate congratulating his teammates (Getty 127704222) is an easy photo-match. Our consignor who procured the jersey has provided his game tickets and his own photos with Goldy after the game receiving the jersey. Autograph is pre-certified by Beckett.
