Don Drysdale's record of 58 consecutive scoreless innings pitched stood for over 20 years, until another Dodgers righty came along and broke it. Beginning with four scoreless frames to end his outing on August 20, 1988, Orel Herschiser went on a tear to finish the regular season. He ended the 1988 season on an active streak of 59 consecutive scoreless innings pitched, besting Drysdale's 1968 run by one inning. His streak would continue into the postseason, but those innings do not count in the record books. 

 

Presented is a full ticket from the day that Herschiser broke Drysdale's record, on September 28, 1988 versus the San Diego Padres. Herschiser pitched a ridiculous 10 shutout innings that day in San Diego, surrendering just four hits and lowering his ERA to 2.26 on the season. Both Herschiser and Drysdale have signed the ticket in bold Dodger blue permanent marker. PSA has graded the ticket a VG 3 and assessed the autographs as perfect 10s.
