Offered in this lot is a Jose Altuve Houston Astros game worn home jersey worn on September 27, 2016. The Astros faced off against the Seattle Mariners in this late-season matchup and were victorious in an 8-4 win. The jersey features a large dirt stain on the rear from sliding into a base making for a wonderful display piece. A large 'Houston Astros' patch is prevalent on the left shoulder. More dirt stains are also present on the front of the jersey from a very active game for Altuve. An MLB Authentic Hologram (JC016847) is affixed above the Majestic Jersey jock tag for the authenticity of the jersey. Another MLB Authentic sticker is present underneath the jersey's buttons that reads "2016 PROP. OF HOUSTON" and "42T ASTROS".
In the game, Altuve went 2-5 with one run scored and one RBI. In 2016, Altuve finished the year with 24 home runs, 96 RBIs, 108 runs scored, 30 stolen bases, .396 OBP, and a .531 slugging percentage. He led the league with a .338 batting average and 216 runs scored. He finished in 3rd place for MVP voting, was named an All-Star, and won a Silver Slugger Award.
