On Sept. 13 2011 in a game against the Seattle Mariners the great Mariano Rivera recorded his 600th save for the New York Yankees. Guarding a 3-2 lead on the host M’s Rivera was holding court in the bottom of the ninth with two outs when Seattle’s Ichiro Suzuki tried stealing second base only to get caught for the game’s final out. Rivera notched his 41st  save of the season and the Yankees moved their record to 90-57.

This lot features the actual game used second base bag from that very moment. Measuring 15” wide by 15” long the Schutt-manufactured base reads “Original Hollywood Bases Jack Corbett” on the top in raised lettering. Showing plenty of infield dirt on the top and sides the base also sports four Seattle Mariners’ emblems on all four sides. The metal stanchion measuring 5.5” long remains intact on the underside of the base. Written in blue marker on one corner on the underside of the base is "2nd Base Sept. 13 2011.”

Includes MLB Authentication hologram #4949654 FJ.
