This is a spectacular offering from the greatest player in the history of the Colorado Rockies franchise Todd Helton. The slugging first baseman spent his entire 17-year career in the thin air in Denver and wound up with numbers that may propel him eastward to Cooperstown come 2019 or so. It is a complete uniform with jersey and pants and features a remarkable inscription from Helton noting that the jersey was worn in home game at Coors Field on July 11 2003 when he socked a pair of solo home runs off L.A. Dodgers starter Hideo Nomo helping the Rockies prevail 7-6. For the '03 season Helton batted .358 with 33 homers and 117 RBI and 135 runs scored. A five-time All-Star and four-time Silver Slugger winner Helton holds the club record for hits (2519) home runs (369) doubles (592) walks (1335) runs (1401) RBI (1406) and total bases (4292) among others.
The purple button-down alternate jersey has the Russell Athletic tagging on the front with a flag tag with fabric content and Size 50. A team tag below has Helton-50-17. Shirt has Colorado across the front in silver black and white tackle twill; his famed No. 17 appears front and back in black-on-white tackle twill and the Colorado Rockies team patch appears on the left sleeve and the embroidered MLB logo patch at the back of the collar. Helton is across the shoulders on the back in black-on-white tackle twill affixed directly to the shirt. Below his No. 17 on the back he has penned a silver Sharpie autograph and added the following inscription: Home Runs Nos. 18 and 19 July 11th 2003 vs. Hideo Homo. The gray pinstripe pants has team repairs on the front and back of the left leg; Russell Athletic tagging appears at the back of the waist (Size 37) with adjacent flag tag with fabric content and -1 inch in waist. Another team tag at the back of the waist has 17-Helton-36/39-23-03. Both elements show game use and are in superb condition problem-free and without alterations save only for the team repairs noted.
Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from Todd Helton. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
