This special game-worn and autographed jersey comes from the great Mike Trout's most recent 2016 MVP season one in which the superstar centerfielder led the American League in runs (123) walks (116) and OBP (.441) while stealing 30 bases clubbing 29 homers and driving in an even 100. It is MVP #2 for Trout who has now finished either first or second in the A.L. voting in each of his five full MLB seasons. An unprecedented run. At 25 years old he has the potential to be one of the best ballplayers ever if he stays healthy and continues to put up such consistent numbers across the board.
The size 48 Angels button-down red home alternate jersey has "Angels" stitched across the front in red tackle twill outlined in blue silver and white with Trout's No. "27" front and back in similar fashion. The official MLB Authentic/Majestic manufacturer's label with Size 48 appears on the front left tail. All six original red buttons remain intact. The iconic Angels "A" logo patch is on the right sleeve while the team's circular "1961" inaugural season logo patch is sewn on the left. The MLB patch appears at the back collar. Trout has added a silver fine-point Sharpie autograph to the number "2" on the back with the inscription "16 G/U" to indicate the season and verifying its game use.
The MLB hologram affixed to the number "7" near the autograph attests to use in the Angels' 10-2 home victory over the Twins on June 15 2016. Trout scored three runs in the game. The front of the jersey has a large dirt stain incurred by the hustler's slide during one of those trips around the diamond. It can be photo-matched to several photos on Getty (i.e. 541386036). Not many better Trout gamers out there that so typify his hard-nosed modern day Charlie Hustle style of play.
