On April 7 2014 playing in their seventh game of the season the New York Yankees defeated the visiting Baltimore Orioles by the score of 4-2. Yankee starter Hiroki Kuroda got the win. New York first baseman Mark Teixeira played in just 1223 games that season but still managed to launch 22 home runs. This lot features Teixeiras game-worn New York Yankees home jersey from the aforementioned game. As it turns out Teixeira did not play in this particular game but was ready to come off the bench if Yankee Skipper Joe Girardi needed him. Majestic Authentic tagging is sewn on front left shirttail with year "2013" size "48" and "Taper" flag tags plus the "NEW YORK YANKEES" bar code sticker (0000002885) applied just below. Apparently this jersey was recycled from the 2013 season. The Yankees trademark NY logo adorns the left breast area in navy blue tackle twill while Teixeiras uniform number 25 stretches across the back in similar fashion.Includes MLB Authentication hologram (HZ 102753). Full LOA from Steiner Sports (209008) for game use.
