On April 5 2012 Hall of Fame player and coach Bill Sharman and his wife Joyce hosted a reunion all the surviving members of the 1971-72 World Champion Los Angeles Lakers celebrating the 40th Anniversary of their record breaking 33 game winning streak. That night each player signed a limited number of posters and basketballs to memorialize the event. Only 31 posters and 12 basketballs were signed by the players. Those present who signed are Bill Sharman(HOF) Jerry West(HOF) Elgin Baylor(HOF) Gail Goodrich(HOF) Pat Riley(Future HOF) Jimmy McMillian Keith Erickson Leroy Ellis Jim Cleamons Flynn Robinson Bill Bertka(Assistant coach to Sharman) and Lynn Shackelford(Chick Hearn's color commentator). The 1971-72 team had the most wins and highest winning percentage in Laker history with both still the 2nd best all-time in the NBA. Their 16 consecutive road wins during the 33 game streak is still the All-Time NBA record. The offered lot includes the following from the one time event:
1) Limited Edition #30/31 40th Anniversary Reunion Poster signed by the 12 members of the team mentioned above in perfect looking 9-10/10 black felt tip pen. Framed to a size of 30" by 30". Comes with a Notarized LOA from Bill Sharman.
2) Limited Edition #11/12 Spalding Highlight 28.5 NBA Basketball signed by the 12 members of the team mentioned above in beautiful 8-10/10 black felt tip pen. Comes with a Notarized LOA from Bill Sharman.
3) 40th Anniversary Celebration Program Guide.
4) DVD showing the Limited Edition Poster and Basketball signing.
5) Event DVD featuring performer Jeffery Osborne and player speeches.
6) Copy of the "Magical Season" article from the LAKERS magazine.
Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
