Kobe Bryant has scored many game-winning shots throughout his illustrious NBA career as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers but this particular game-winner occurred in the post-season. Playing against the Phoenix Suns at home on April 30 2006 in Game 4 of their best-of-seven series in the Western Conference playoffs Bryant tallied 24 points that included two incredible clutch shots to steal a 99-98 victory for the Lakers. This first was a 7-foot runner to tie the game at 90 apiece with .7 seconds left in regulation. The second was 17-foot game-winning jumper at the buzzer in overtime that ripped the Suns hearts out yet again. This lot includes the actual pair of shoes Bryant was wearing that afternoon at the Staples Center in L.A.

"It was the most fun shot I've ever hit just because it's us enjoying this as a unit" said Kobe post-game. "I have played a lot of playoff basketball and I have never had a game quite like this with our backs against the wall seemingly out of it and us just battling back and getting this 'W'." It was a highly-efficient game for Bryant as he went 9-14 from the field and dished out 8 assists. Odom led the Lakers with 25 points but it was the Black Mamba's heroics that gave the Lakers a 3-1 series lead. Unfortunately for the Lakers the Suns would won the next three to take the series 4-3 and advance to the next round.

These tri-color (purple gold and white) size 14 Nike Uptempo Zoom Air shoes exhibit solid game use and wear across the soles. Both shoes include Bryants uniform No. 8 (at the time) in purple with gold trim on the outside of the heels as well as his single-game career-high "81" emblazoned in white on the inside purple sole area. Original purple shoe laces remain intact and the tongue on both shoes is christened in gold on the inside with "All Star 2006." A great piece of sports memorabilia commemorating another unforgettable performance by one of the Lakers all-time greats.

Includes a Letter of Authenticity from the consignor brother of Kobe's friend and former Laker teammate Laron Profit. Profit who starred for the University of Maryland in college was a member of the 2005-06 Lakers after coming over from the Wizards along with Kwame Brown via off-season trade. Photos attached of consignor and his brother Laron plus consignor and Kobe.
